How do you add flavor to a cooked turkey? ›

Baste the turkey with fresh beer, wine or juice every hour. The natural sugars will help caramelize the outside of your turkey, giving it a nice crispy and flavorful skin. Injecting with butter or apple juice will add flavor, moisture and help penetrate down into the meat, which will make the turkey more flavorful.

How do you hide the taste of ground turkey? ›

My solution is to go heavy on the spices to overpower the turkey flavor and turn it towards the flavor I am looking for. So, really heavy on the garlic and oregano if making Italian style meat balls, or lots of garlic, ginger, soy etc. if going Asian.
